Owner, founder and first violinist
An accomplished violinist, Joy brings over 20 years of industry experience to Colorado's music scene. Since 2019, Joy has loved helping clients create the perfect ambiance for their unique event as the founder, owner, and first violinist of Lavandula Strings. Managing all aspects of her local, individually owned and operated small business, Joy prides herself in providing excellent service to clientele of all backgrounds, paying her exceptional team a wage that reflects their expertise and connecting with clientele with genuine excitement, kindness and respect.

CELLIST & COORDINATOR
Sophie is an active chamber, orchestral and freelance artist. She recently received her master's degree from the University of Colorado Boulder in cello performance. A mountain transplant, Sophie is originally from Minnesota and loves exploring her passion for connecting with others through music. Outside of her musical endeavors, she enjoys bird watching, true crime podcasts, and buttered popcorn.

VIOLIST & COORDINATOR
Sela is a professional violist based in Denver, Colorado, originally from Seoul, South Korea. She recently received her Master of Music from the University of Colorado Boulder and enjoys a career as a music educator, performer, and administrator.
"I absolutely love playing for weddings and events with Lavandula Strings because we are given a special opportunity to contribute positively to someone's most important day. Not only are we colleagues, but we are also close friends so we are able to make beautiful music organically!"
SECOND VIOLINIST & LIBRARIAN
Anna is a professional violinist based in the Boulder area. She recently completed her master's in violin performance at the University of Colorado Boulder and works as a teacher and performer. She loves contributing to special events and creating memories for clients through music!
